Reserving a Rancho Relaxo Sheep

Becoming part of the Rancho Relaxo flock means more than adding a Valais Blacknose sheep to your pasture — it means joining a tradition rooted in breed integrity, animal well-being, and thoughtful stewardship.

Quality & Pricing

Our pricing reflects a range of important factors:

• Breed percentage
• Conformation and fleece quality
• Markings and overall type
• Temperament and handling experience

Bred Ewe Option

• Most adult ewes are available open or bred, depending on your goals.
• If you’d like your ewe bred before pickup, we’re happy to discuss suitable pairings.
• A $1,000 breeding fee covers ram exposure, pregnancy care, and confirmation.

Deposits & Payment

• To reserve a specific lamb or sheep, a 25% nonrefundable deposit is required.
• Exceptions apply only if unforeseen issues affect health or availability.
• Accepted forms of payment: cash, check (held once cleared), PayPal, or Venmo.

Pickup Timing

• Lambs stay with their dams for a minimum of 10 weeks.
• Most are ready to go home between 10–12 weeks of age.
• If no arrangements are made by 12 weeks, the lamb may be offered to the next family, and the deposit forfeited.

Transport & Health Certification

• Transport is the buyer’s responsibility, though we’re happy to assist with recommendations.
• In some cases, personal delivery may be available for an added fee.
• Out-of-state purchases require a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI), available for $150.
