Reserving a Rancho Relaxo Sheep
Becoming part of the Rancho Relaxo flock means more than adding a Valais Blacknose sheep to your pasture — it means joining a tradition rooted in breed integrity, animal well-being, and thoughtful stewardship.
Quality & Pricing
Our pricing reflects a range of important factors:
- Breed percentage
- Conformation and fleece quality
- Markings and overall type
- Temperament and handling experience
Bred Ewe Option
- Most adult ewes are available open or bred, depending on your goals.
- If you’d like your ewe bred before pickup, we’re happy to discuss suitable pairings.
- A $1,000 breeding fee covers ram exposure, pregnancy care, and confirmation.
Deposits & Payment
- To reserve a specific lamb or sheep, a 25% nonrefundable deposit is required.
- Exceptions apply only if unforeseen issues affect health or availability.
- Accepted forms of payment: cash, check (held once cleared), PayPal, or Venmo.
Pickup Timing
- Lambs stay with their dams for a minimum of 10 weeks.
- Most are ready to go home between 10–12 weeks of age.
- If no arrangements are made by 12 weeks, the lamb may be offered to the next family, and the deposit forfeited.
Transport & Health Certification
- Transport is the buyer’s responsibility, though we’re happy to assist with recommendations.
- In some cases, personal delivery may be available for an added fee.
- Out-of-state purchases require a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI), available for $150.
